* Cooling - Servers use a lot of power and for that you need a lot of cooling we have
4, 20 Ton Liebert
air conditioners.
Each one has over 30 sensors that monitor different areas of the machines performance and airflow, if it senses anything wrong it automatically sends out a
page to our staff.

* Backup power - A data center must have battery backups and a diesel generator.
The battery backups kick in instantly in the event of a power outage and the diesel generator takes a couple seconds to start up and then takes
over.
This can run at full load for days on its tank and the tank can be refilled while the generator is running.
We use Liebert battery backups and a CAT diesel generator.

* Raised flooring - In a real data center
special anti-static flooring is used, this is one foot off ground level and houses the
air conditioning ducts and the electrical wiring.

* Waterless Fire suppression - In the unlikely event of a fire, instead of the traditional fire sprinkler system we have tanks with CO2 gas.
It works by pushing the concentration of oxygen in a room below the point that can sustain a
fire. The CO2 gas is non-damaging to the equipment.
We have
tons smoke detectors throughout the
data center.

* Redundant network backbone
We have
several fully redundant lines coming in, including 6
gigabyte lines from
separate providers to ensure you're always connected and that your data takes the quickest, most efficient routes for optimal transfer speeds.
We have an excess of bandwidth capacity so that even during peak hours or unexpected spikes in traffic, you can rest assured that your site will

* Security - Along with security guards on site and many
surveillance cameras we have 2 sets of alarmed steel doors to enter the
data center.
Both require electronic card key access and the inner most set also requires a positive hand scan match before it will open.
Inside the
data center all of the equipment is enclosed in locking server cabinets.
